Elimo secured the victory with 7,945 votes, while his opponents, Alexander Narruhn and Redley Killion, received 6,913 and 3,692 votes respectively.

Simina’s political career continued to advance, and on May 11, 2015, he was elected as the Speaker of the Nineteenth Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia. This position further elevated his influence and responsibilities within the National Government.
