Prince Andrew is said to be going through the brutally hardest phase of his life, not only due to his scandals and controversies but also his rudeness towards a senior royal figure.

The former Duke might have several faults in his personality that need to be corrected, but some of his alleged brutal activities within the royal family have also attracted wrath from a senior royal.

A royal commentator has claimed that Princess Kate's rise to popularity as a beloved member of the British royal family may have escalated tensions between William and his uncle Andrew.

According to Hilary Fordwich, 'The feud between Prince William and Prince Andrew started primarily due to Andrew’s jealousy and resulting disparaging remarks regarding Kate Middleton.'

Sharing the details of upsetting situation within the royal family, Fordwich claimed to Fox News Digital, 'Prince William was infuriated.'

She even went to explain the future monarch's reaction to any misbehaviour towards his wife Princess Catherine, revealing: 'Being fiercely protective, he instituted a zero-tolerance policy toward any wayward behavior or scandals involving Prince Andrew.'

Previously, Richard Kay, editor-at-large of the UK’s Daily Mail, also reported in 2024 that William and Andrew were at odds over Kate.

'Differences between the monarch and heir do remain, especially when it comes to the Prince Andrew scandal,' the journalist wrote.

The commentator even went on to claim that 'William has long held a grudge against Andrew for being unwelcoming when he first introduced then–Kate Middleton to the royal family and feels that his father has been too soft on him.'

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie's dad's alleged behaviour was attributed to his perceived protection and influence within the royal family. 

The expert explained: "All the more daunting for Andrew was his displacement as his mother’s ‘golden boy’ since he was viewed as Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite."

Andrew's resentment grew with his plummeting popularity and was then further exacerbated by Kate’s prominence and poise, according to the claims.

King Charles III's youner brother has already announced to relinquish his Duke of York title amid ongoing revealtions and claims in his late accuser's posthumous memoir 'Nobody's Girl,' 

In August, Andrew was the subject of the British author Andrew Lownie's book, titled "Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York."

One of the claims the book makes is that at one point, Andrew was "rude" to Kate, known as the prized jewel of the royal family. 

The alleged incident, Lownie wrote, led to a feud between the ex-duke and his nephew that has lasted for years. citing a source, Lownie claimed that the heir to the British throne, "has long worked behind the scenes to evict his uncle from Royal Lodge."

"Like a lot of us know, William felt Andrew was a danger to the reputation of the monarchy, " according to Lownie.
