Top of the Everest describes the expedition of Samantha through the Everest and Tales From The Odyssey talks about the expedition of Odysseus to his home. Tales From The Odyssey Risk Characters Face -One risk Odysseus faces in this tale is that he and his tribulation sail through huge waves with a lot of wind. That gives Odysseus and his tribulation a very high risk of drowning. Another risk Odysseus bears is that he can lose his memory. This happens when they arrive at Lotus Island and the natives give them a lot of lotus flowers that make them forget everything they know. Reasons They Face The Risks -The first reason why they needed to sail through those heavy waves is because they wanted to go back home. They sailed for 10 long days. After those 10 days, they …show more content… They entered a cave to explore. They landed on an island to see if they could stay there. And they also needed to find a monster for food! All of these because they wanted to explore. Rewards That They Receive -One of the rewards Odysseus and his fleet obtained were all the resources they got in the cave of the monster.When they entered a mysterious cave they found a lot of goats, sheep, goat milk, and tons of cheese. Another reward Odysseus got was continuing exploring places, because no matter what, they could still escape and go explore again. For example, on the Lotus Island they almost got trapped there, but Odysseus rescued his Fleet and they all could continue exploring. The Top Of The Everest Risks People Face -One risk that Samantha and her team faced was the extreme temperatures they needed to support.In the text we can see that Samantha takes some special training so they can get used to that type of climate.
