El site of the Roman villa La Torrecilla, located in the area of Perales del Río, in Getafe, is an outstanding example of a Roman villa, typical of the eastern Mediterranean, characterized by being organized around a courtyard or peristylum, and stands out for being one of the few examples of a Roman villa of this typology in the Community of Madrid. The chrono-stratigraphic sequence indicates a continuity from the High Imperial period to the Late Antique period, being a rare fact the villae lasting for three centuries. Has been declared Well of Cultural Interest in the category of Archaeological Zone. (责任编辑:) |
