× Want to add an entry? The only aircraft entries we have are those linked in the lists below. If you would like to help out by creating a new entry, it's easy! Download the template file, modify it to add specific information about the aircraft, and email it back to knowledge[at]backcountrypilot.org. It is written in Markdown syntax, which is very easy and efficient to format articles with. For the purpose of this index, we've separated aircraft into 3 main categories: 2-seat, 4-seat, and 6 or more seats. This is often a primary deciding factor in choosing an aircraft, and affects everything from utility to fuel economy. The second categorization is airworthiness category: Certified or Experimental Amateur-built. To be used commercially for Part 135 charter operations, an aircraft must be in the Certified category. Private owners may find value in building their own or being unrestricted by Type certificate when it comes to adding modifications.
