R7 - don't care if he was passive or boring - he was surrounded by SO MANY characters and people that he promoted himself. That alone would be entertaining as hell. Then there's being shot, his boyfriend who died of AIDS, his films, his magazine, his art, his friendship with Basquiat. I think the problem is - there are so many interesting times in his life and so many people, how do you winnow it down to 2 hrs of material?
