Founded in 1976, Pojen General Hospital is a community teaching hospital in Taipei with more than 200 beds and 19 medical specialties. The hospital is committed to serving the community with compassion and excellence, and it provided patients with comprehensive and high-quality clinical services. In 2011, the hospital was appraised as excellent in a regional hospital appraisal.

Pojen General Hospital introduced the focused ultrasound tumor treatment system produced by Chongqing Haifu Medical Technology Co., Ltd. in early 2019, and established the HIFU Treatment Center, with Dr. Zheng Chengjie, a well-known professor of obstetrics and gynecology, as the director of the center. Professor Zheng and the team work hard to promote focused ultrasound therapy for uterine fibroids, providing a non-invasive treatment for female patients, which entails no open surgery, no bleeding, and preserves the fertility of the uterus. Up to now, more than 200 women have received treatment in Pojen General Hospital and have achieved good results.
